Vicki Gordon (Ngati Kahungunu) established the inaugural Australian Women in Music Awards and Conference Program in 2018 in response to the chronic gender equality in the Australian Music Industry creating a watershed moment which changed the music industry forever. Vicki is recognised for her life's work to empower diverse new voices to the stage as an ongoing commitment to Australian culture.
