Nando Machado started in Music at a very early stage as a musician and after trying a career playing in bands and releasing albums, took a role as an intern at Sony Music in 1996, then worked for another 10 years doing TV and radio promotion for Sony, BMG, Zomba Records and local independent company Deckdisc.
In 2007 Nando started working at EMI in the international marketing department and then moved to Universal Music in the same area. In 2011 Nando co-founded the now popular news portal Wikimetal, which became a 360º company focused on the Rock audience. In 2016, after leaving Universal, Nando founded ForMusic, a marketing agency focused on Music, doing mainly label services and producing events and content. ForMusic is divided in 4 main areas. Promotion and marketing for independent artists, digital marketing campaigns and social media management for artists and labels, a content department responsible for Wikimetal and for another news portal called Mad Sound, and the 2 labels run by ForMusic, Wikimetal Music and ForMusic Records, releasing its own artists but also licencing physical products from other companies like Warner Music. ForMusic represents artists from companies such as The Beggars Group, [PIAS], Domino, Nettwerk, Big Loud, BMG, Dine Alone, Cooking Vinyl, Warner, Universal and Sony Music.
ForMusic now counts on a team of over 25 collaborators and has been certified a Great Place to Work for the past 4 years. Nando Machado is also the vice-president of ABMI, the association of independent music in Brazil.
