Tony Kiewel

After spending most of the 90s DJing for radio station, KXLU, and working at labels in the wilds of Los Angeles, in the year 2000, Tony Kiewel finally followed the light to the promised land of Seattle and Sub Pop. Initially working in radio promotion, he soon pivoted to A&R. Over the years, he's brought such artists as The Postal Service, Flight of the Conchords, Orville Peck, Sleater-Kinney, clipping, Girl and Girl and Father John Misty to the label. At one point, his betters decided to have him lead the A&R department and eventually they even made him to Co-President.
