Associate Professor Catherine Strong works in the Music Industry program at RMIT University. She researches extensively on industry work condition, gender in music, and popular music as heritage. She has worked with the Victorian Music Development Office and APRA AMCOS, among other industry bodies, to produce research on current conditions in music work in Australia, and is a researcher for the Encore Project which helps women and GNC people return to music industry work after a break. She is also a committed climate activist and researches how music will be impacted by the climate emergency.
