From punk legend to pop star, Georgia Maq has already had a career that most would spend their whole life building towards.
Forming Camp Cope with bandmates Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and Sarah Thompson in 2015, the Melbourne-based group fast grew a dedicated fanbase, drew attention around the world, and released three stellar albums before announcing their disbandment earlier this year.
With the release of her debut solo album, Pleaser, in 2019, Maq entered her next era; welcoming a new sonic palette, expressing her love of pop music, but never letting go of the acute intimacy and no-holds-barred emotion that has always characterised her lyrics. As Camp Cope prepare for their final farewell show, Maq shares the lessons learnt along the way.
