When Harry Styles opened up up his house to the world, it was Brittany Spanos that got the call. The same for the likes Adele, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Lizzo, Janelle Monae and more.
As the Senior Writing for the US edition of Rolling Stone, Spanos has fast become one of music journalism most trusted voices. Since 2015, she has written cover stories about music’s biggest names, as well as an array of profiles, criticism, reviews and reported features. You may have also heard her voice in your ears through her Don't Let This Flop and 500 Greatest Albums podcasts.
She’s previously had work featured in Vulture, SPIN, Pitchfork, Cosmo and Rookie Mag, and is teaching a class on Taylor Swift at NYU's Clive Davis School of Recorded Music. She joins BIGSOUND to discuss her work and what the landscape looks like for music journalists in the modern era.
